A transnational political dynasty.
This is the dauphin of the transnational political dynasty of Cuba, Fidel Castro Diaz Balart, with his mother, Mirta.
He's the offspring of the two most powerful political families in Cuba, the Diaz Balarts and the Castros. The family political connections are deeply rooted in three countries, Spain and the USA (the Diaz Balart side) and Cuba (the Castro side)
His uncle raul castro has appointed him as his official successor and tells it to whomever wants to listen to him.
It's well known that raul castro blasted his brother's inexistent parental skills, insticts, or feelings.
Unknow to many, uncle raul was the one who raised fidelito, who after being kidnapped from his mother in Mexico on the orders of his father, was never ever taken care for, and was left to the care of his uncle and aunt. Thus the fondness of raul for fidelito and the loyalty of fidelito to raul, according to a person who was a material witness during fidelito's childhoold under the shelter of the Castro-Espin household.
According to another one of our sources, raul was the one who arranged for Mirta Diaz Balart to go to Cuba to see fidelito, and the one who pleaded with fidel to secure his permission so fidelito could see his mother in Spain. She also saw him several times when he used to study nuclear engineering in Russia under an assumed name, Jose Antonio Hernandez Bustamante, if my memory doesn't fail on that subject, even if I have told that it was one of the many aliases he was given during his college days.
It's also said that it was raul the one who pressured castro into allowing Diaz Balart to enter Cuba to see her son, and also, that he pressed the Cuban embassy in Russia not to interfere with such visits.

To be kidnapped away from his mother, what a no feelings son of a bitch kagastro was, even to his own son, then dumped him on his uncle, I'm betting that there is not much love in fidelitos heart for his father, maybe if the reigns are passed to him he may do right by our country, whishful thinking on my part, I know
What I find more interesting is the fact that Mirta Diaz-Balart returned to Cuba in recent years so as to live out the rest of her days with her son. This has of course, sparked a rift between the family.
She actually hasn't moved to Cuba full time, Cuba Watcher. She spends more time there since the death of her husband, Nuñez Portuondo, during her deathbed visit to her first love, fidel castro.
Then she's been coming and going between Madrid and Havana. Interestingly enough, Dr. Garcia Sabrido -the one who went to see castro in Cuba- is her neighbor in Madrid.
As per rifts in the family, I don't know.
She's been also traveling to the States to see her American family, as sources have confirmed.
She's in Cuba overseeing the handing of powers from Raul to the Dauphin, her son. It's a transnational dynasty.... Move over Kennedy, move over Bush, the Diaz Balarts are coming.
she hasn't been traveling to the U.S. - that I can tell you for sure. as for the rift - that i can tell first-hand. i shall say no more.
I don't trust anyone from anyside of that family CubaWatcher. Look at the Diaz Balarts. They DO NOTHING against the dry-foot wet-foot, they do nothing about the Oliphant cartoon, and they do nothing about the racist remarks by Fred Thompson.
What I am refering is what I get, which is as valid as you refer, as well. She's been several times in the States, where she has properties, in the area of Palm Beach. If there are rifts in that family, well, they have ripped Cuba apart -both branches- so a few sopapos flying in the air amongst them is just a good circus act to watch.
Where the hell are the Diaz Balarts when that poor girl in Coral Gables needs them? Nowhere.
Maybe the rift is among the part of the family that is in Cuba. If that's the case, yes.
Because I know that fidelito and the other siblings of castro have a very rocky relationship. We had information that the current wife of castro doesn't want Mirta Diaz Balart at 10 leagues from Punto Cero, that's why raul set her really comfortably in a protocol villa in Havana, to be with her son, and close to the dying bastard.
Now, a rift between the castro branch? Good. If I would love the others to go at each other a bofetones limpios, I would love the kasstro's to kill each other, frankly.
speaking of the Castro boys - in speaking with many folks close to them - i wasn't all that surprised to hear that they veer FAR off the daddy's communist party line. to put it bluntly (i can't speak for Fidelito here, but the others) - they've got their hands so far into black market everything . . . well, some would be surprised. i suppose it's safe to say that every family has their skeletons in the closet.

Exactly,CubaWatcher... From pizzeria cheese of the lowest quality, to car parts (one son is a budding cook, another a mechanical engineer) to rum and spirits of the highest quality, to every other profitable line and item in the black market. They traffic with influence, too.... They have bought safety by helping people out of the country, and they are involved in all sorts of "businesses" as long as there is a quick profit. The doctor-son, ans two others are veritable playboys. It is safe to say that they sdo not have any blood in their hands, they are only abosolutely corrupted by absolute power, but they are not known for causing damage to anyone.
People would tell you that they would safely pull you out of harm, if you're their friend and get caught. Very different from the boys of Saddam. They are very well know specially about and around Jaimanitas for having their hands in every pie.
Fidelito is a nuclear engineer and the favourite of both fidel ans raul.There are at least two other children out of wedlock, a woman whose surname is Pupo and who lives in the USA and a man who is under the protection of Mongo Castro.
