Read between the lines....
Wouldn't it be because Cubans would line up to spit on it and pee on it and wreck the official taxidermist master work?
According to Lazarito, Fidel's will is not to be "memorialized that way".
Of course he says that after Castro -finally- dies there will be no changes in the system because they are still under the direction of a junta. Well, he actually said "direccion colegiada" which sounds just like junta.
But this is the real jewel:
"El pueblo cubano sufrirá un dolor terrible desde el punto de vista sentimental, pero muy mal estaría Cuba si dependiese de la existencia de un hombre".
Lazarito, we can tell you that in the first part of your assertion you're wrong, totally wrong, the Cubans will cry, yes of joy seeing that motherfucking tyrant go. And yes, Cuba has been really in bad shape because we have depended of the whims of only one man for freaking half a century, my dearest Lachi.
After saying that he kept on pulling and pushing along the party line saying that the dictator is still active and working as an advisor in all decisions pertaining to the day by day running of the country. It's actually the day by day ruining of the country, Lazaro, and thanks, but we don't buy it.
He added that the tyrant cannot go back to his usual schedule because otherwise he would't last many more years. Not that he would last that long anyway.....
In case you were wondering what the hell was Lachi doing in Portugal, he was invited by the official organ of the Portuguese Communist Pary, the daily fishwrap Avante, to participate in their yearly festival. Well, the Cuban junta sent him to do his part in the international propaganda effort and he's working on it.
But y'all should read between the lines.

So there won't be a big funeral for the beast? or so they claim, no cult to personality for the undead ass hole, somehow I doubt it.
This is a set up by the news. There is going to be a massive and very well planned ceremony for kagasstro's death. However, they're going to want to say that the ceremony is of the people's will and not the government's. The only way they can do that is by starting now with assertions that el sumo hp doesn't want anything elaborate. That way, when the big ceremony goes through, the news can then comment on how the Cuban people loved kaggastro so much.
Action is needed, no? Is there any way to organize a celebration/demonstration of his death? Not that it would stop raula from taking full charge, however, it would at least tell the world that his presence will not be missed. The world will be watching come the hp's death -it wouldn't hurt to steal a little bit of the spot light.
Vedry good points, Songuacassal. Also, look how they "explain" these things abroad and not in Cuba to reinforce the notion of the "ceremony of the people" as you stated.
