Mixed bag of news from Havana.....
The blogosphere has been abuzz this morning with rumors of an impending death. Not mine, even if I got a funny e-mail saying that I was OPD.
Kasstro’s death is the sweet object of rumors this morning.
There have been reports of the Cuban flag flying at half staff and that historic “revolutionary” footage is been played on Cuban National TV.
On behalf of all of us, differences aside, I contacted our sources and they said that there are a few things happening.
1- They are going to celebrate today the anniversary of the dreaded comites (it was yesterday). It was not done it yesterday 'cause raul was busy with the Russians and with the fire of the refinery. And that kasstro was not in show-off ready status.
2-The footage is kind of some homage to the comites, and maybe -my source didn't see it- was the half staff flag.
3-There's something strange though which sources from both KillCastro and myself have been reporting since yesterday: The Russians were not received by Kasstro and THEY DIDN'T ASK FOR A MEETING WITH KASSTRO.
All I can gather is that they know that he's not in conditions of having any serious meeting with anybody, and as KillCastro says: The Russians CAN tell a double 40 miles away and traveling at 185 miles per hour.
The new guy in charge is INDEED misinforming everybody with a lot of false moves, but if he were to put up a half staff flag it would be the confirmation of the information we have received warning us of a slow moving bloodless coup.
He maybe plans to smother kasstro with a pillow!
Or maybe he already did!
