"a sign from God"
Those were the words of a friend of mine describing the amazing sunrise in el Malecon.
He went even further:
"this light is the light of freedom, nothing will be the same in this country".
I warned him that the prudent thing to do is to confirm whatever is being said in the rumor mill, before thinking that the dictator is gone, and then have the surprise of a recovery. He was, too, skeptic at the beginning of the evening, yesterday. But then he said: "this animal is a control freak, he would not have relinquished power onto his useless brother if he weren't in real bad shape, or maybe he's already dead and all his "guatacas" (Habanero for sycophants) didn't know what to do and put that drunkard of raul to front the store".
There are many rumors going around in Havana, and the only way they would have to dispell them is to show kasstro alive, but it's known that he has many doubles.
One particularly interesting rumor is that he died en route from Bayamo to Havana.
My friend said that the signature shown on TV was "a bad imitation of his signature, somebody trying to make it appear as if an old man with Parkinson disease scratched that piece of paper with a date on it". He also told me that kasstro has been known for releasing handwritten notes in certain occassions and that this computer print-out is therefore suspicious.
Again, let's be cautious here.
Mean Mr. Kasstro could have very well engineered a very macabre plan for his final fart off.

Didn't most of the Soviet leaders suddenly develop illnesses, go to the hospital for a period of time, then suddenly "die" just as the party had chosen a new General Secretary?
Think of all the work the poor devils and demons in hell are having to do now.
Exactly Juan, we should soon be hit by a representative of the Devil himself for helping in a fundraiser to buy coal, sulphur, and new pitchforks!
If I recall the story correctly, I believe when stalin had the stroke which finally finished him off, he was allowed to linger helplessly on a sofa, the nomenklatura vultures - Beria, Khruschev, etc, "circling" but doing nothing to help the "man" of "steel" who appears to have spent his final hours angry and frustrated at the knowledge no one was going to lift a finger for him...and there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it. Something like this would be a fitting end for kagasstro - except he deserves a prolongued, excruciating one. This would be a practice session in anticipation of the way he will be living his next life, in the joyous company of cheshit et al.
Have any of you heard of the Father Claret prophecy? Can't say if it is apocryphal or not, but the version I've found talks about the Cuban people taking to the sea, to and from Cuba, after the death of the evil ruler who is the subject of the prophecy. It would be poetic justice if the regime ends thanks to a massive, peaceful invasion of Cubans from the sea, in contrast to the un-peaceful little one perpetrated back in '56.
May he be forced to listen to his own speeches nonstop in eternity
