Carlos Satanas Santana was the featured "cultural icon" of last night on that trashy TV show, "Tras la Verdad" that airs for one hour on Univision (for the Anglo reader, a Mexican show on a Mexican owned prokagasstro TV station that spews propaganda for ignorants and shows for maids in the USA) The babbling che huevara t-shirt wearing, spoke about the protests of Cubans against him for sporting the infamous shirt at the last edition of the Hollywood ceremony of the Oscars. Apparently Carlos Satanas Santana didn't have a tie die t shirt and then his sartorial advisor got him this piece of shit to wear. Along others, he spoke very negatively about Cubans and the Cuban community, calling us ignorants... Oh Lord, Carlitos, man, look at the figures of the Census. Look at the figures of the IRS before taking out of your ass that way, please, give me a break. We are a minority among immigrants in this country and we produce much more than the rest of you together.... Go ask the secretary of commerce, please, or the head of immigration, both Cubans. By the way, according to this peyote head, we are not only ignorants, but also very arrogant and happy of being ignorant. Again, I guess that so much pot and so much LSD fried your brains fucked. Carlitos, I know the name of those feelings you have: envy and fear.... Once Cuba is set free you will see how tourism jobs are going to dwindle in that country of yours and how a bunch of your people are going to try to raft down to Cuba (good news: they are going to be sent back and this scenario is not going to happen) to wander around Havana for menial jobs while holding mysterious brown paper bags. That's not gonna happen you red piece of communist shit. According to Carlitos, we don't stop crying for the lost of Cuba, while them, Indians from Mexico don't cry for the lost of theirs. What are the people who watch Spanish TV and that have an ounce of morals waiting for to boycott it and to write all sort of nasty letters to the big Mexican honchos that control all of those stations? How's that Univision (from now on IndioVision, UniMision, etc.) can have it base of operations in Miami, where Cubans are not a minority? Is there any Miami Cuban picketting out there? Well, guys, let me know... And here I go again against our so called celebrities: Where is the uproar in protest of those fellow Cubans Cristina Saralegui (she even speaks Mexican on the air and endorsed a terrorist, Cruz Bustamante against Arnold Schwarzenegger - hey Santana, can you spell Schwarzenegger?), Raúl de Molina, Lily Estefan, Teresa Rodríguez, and many others who still work for than antiCuban outfit? They are silent. Like the Cubans Hollywood, who are also very silent. Why is that no one of them ripped that fucking shirt off the chest of that scumbag and beat him black and blue?
I think I have the answer: a total lack of cojones.
That I remember, the only one in lashing Satanas very hard was Paquito de Rivera. Very different from others in the TV and movie industries and the business of music that have been very quiet. They all love their Mexican BLOOD money more than they love their own countrymen, and they are a bad spectacle, they are a less than dignified circus. Once more and again, I offer this soapbox to all the Cuban celebrities to come out and express themselves loud and clear and with no fear. If they don't take the opportunity, well, they are proving that they are no different from any other liberal media talking head or from any kagasstro appointed talking head. Going back to Indio Carlitos, well dude, remember, in Mexico the Indian and Mestizo population is oppressed and mistreated by your own kind. They are exploited, they are murdered and raped every day by your own cohort of coyotes, land owners and even TV executives and they come here where they have it better. So get your Aztlan and Mecha shit together and smoke it in someone else's backyard. As I said before, you're are going to witness Mexicans trying to emigrate illegally to a free Cuba. The Cuban-American entertainers are no different than the convenient politicians who want something from Cuban-Americans. The entertainers want your money and that comes first. Before those who want to defend them start their comments, these entertainers should not use their ethnicity to their gain and then throw it out when it may get uncomfortable. Thet are like the politicians that say whatever will tickle the Cuban ears in order for the November vote. I too look forward to the day of reckoning when Cuab is free and people ask those who had a platform "why didn't you do anything to help" and the answer will be?

I think that for us the ones that can only reach as far as those who we know or meet, A Cuban leader (ONE leader not 16 associations!) Could draft that strategy.. "This is what YOU can do for Cuba. One single act of self-sacrifice may be commendable but futile in the great scheme of things.
BUT ... those who have a platform can VERY easily just drop a seed that can reach quite a few non-converted and at least make them look Cuba up in the map.

We shouldn't overestimate Carlos Santana's intellect. His "spiritual search" brought him, and his wife and her sister, to a crackpot named Sri Chinmoy. For years the Santanas groveled before their "guru," who was eventually beset by sexual abuse allegations, and who was always a patent fraud. Patent to all, that is, but the small band of suckers, like Carlos, who prostrated themselves before him and made him wealthy. After many years of Chinmoy worship, the Santanas finally discovered what most of the rest of humanity knew: that the guru was a fraud.
I was never a devotee of this numbskull guru, but I worked for a business owned by one of his disciples, Clifford Watts. The disciples were expected to work in or start businesses devoted to (make money for) Chinmoy. The Santana's owned a devotional vegetarian restaurant.
Clifford became my friend, despite my scoffing at his guru, and I lived in an apartment in his home in Mill Valley, California. His business in which I worked was a health food store in San Francisco with the unwieldly name of Man's Health - God's Wealth. I worked daily with Chinmoy disciples, a hollow, self-righteous bunch made twisted by their Chinmoy-imposed celbacy. The Santanas, whose money gave them special status among the disciples, were exempt from the celibacy requirement. (I only met Carlos one time, when he came to the health food store in 1979. I had already spent time enough rock musicians to know that intelligence was not their strong point, and Carlos was no exception.)
The Chinmoy disciples gathered twice a year, in New York and San Francisco, and would put on skits and other entertainment. Clifford, who was a fat, bald, clumsy man in his thirties, was ordered by Chinmoy to wear a pink tutu, and "dance" for the disciples. He practices stumbling around for weeks at home. Although Clifford was one of Chinmoy's biggest donors, he agreed to be the subject of this cruel humiliation. Some disciples criticized Clifford for allowing himself to be shamed, but I heard no one suggest that the guru shouldn't subject his devotee to such ignominy.
While all of the disciples were gullible not all were stupid. Clifford was an otherwise intelligent man, as was a disciple named Glenn Smith, who used to boast that he taught Carlos Santana his more sophisticated guitar techniques. Intelligence does not immunize people against foolish beliefs and practices. It is not surprising to me that if Carlos Santana could be conned into supporting a fraud like Sri Chinmoy, he could also support the Che myth. For someone as morally and intellectually shallow as Santana, it's all about the vibe, and the Che vibe, to the empty souls who don his image, is more Jonathan Livingston Seagull than bloodthirsty murderer.
Carlos Santana is a man responsible for his beliefs and actions, but he has never risen above the emotional and intellectual capacity of a child. The t-shirt is the perfect medium for his pseudo-thoughts, which have taken him from one foolish assumption to the next. Such shallow men as Carlos are the grist for political butchers like Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. Without the likes of Santana, tyranny would find it much more difficult to thrive. It all begins with credulity.

The same Cameron Diaz who, according to killcastro, "took a stand" against Fidel was last seen in Peru carrying a bag bearing a saying of history's worst butcher: Mao. Like most people she doesn't have a clue. How many anti-Castro Cubans would object to Castro if they didn't have first-hand or close experience with his evil? How many Jews in Germany would have objected to Hitler if they had awakened one morning as so-called aryans? Very few people object to tyranny on principle. Fewer have the means or will to become well informed about politics and history.
No shortage of Cuban Americans have voted for American politicians who have done ugly things at home and abroad. Many Cuban Americans support the collectivist ideology which is the foundation of Castroism and all other government tyrannies.
