Science, mad science....

As almost usual, whatever is in the newsfeed forces change onto a post written the night before.
Mad Science was about how the Cuban government, famed for exporting medical doctors and medicines when the Cuban population enjoys state of the art medical facilities (backtrack to the Low Middle Ages here please) also have placed high tech resources in different laboratories in a belt around Havana with the intention to develop biological and biochemical weapons.

We have received reports in the past on how some Cuban officers tried to buy deadly viruses "start up" cultives in several European countries after the fall of their main provider, the Old Soviet Empire. Some of the scientists in those "delegations" managed to break free from their tight and short leashes and defected, that's the way their stories bacame known and they fitted well in the puzzled laid out by Soviet defectors for the American intelligence to see.

Among the items in their shopping list were samples of the Spanish influenza of 1918 preserved in graves in the northern European permafrost, "diagnostic kits", avian flu cultives, and particulary, strains of HIV that are not still present in humans. The failure in acquiring those items was rapidly solved when Putin got "elected" as head as the Neo Soviet regime of Russia, the old biological banks are open again for the Cuban military.

There are also reports that human genetics have been studied by the little Dr. Mengeles of the Cuban military in order to wipe off entire ethnic groups if needed, and Castro himself expressed interest in human cloning -placenta is harvested from all maternity hospital in Cuba every single day and there's no transparency on what its intended use would be. Coming from such a nice old man, it couldn't have any sinister purposes, right?

Remember the story of the scuba diver who died in a flood in Cuba while retrieving material from a secret facility flooded vaults? Our sources report that the frog-man could have been retrieving documents or samples related to those "investigations".

There are reports of the weaponizing of migratory birds carried out by the Cuban military. The birds are inoculated with doses that allow them to fly to the USA and they start dropping sick over the American territory where predators eat them thus spreading the viruses through the animal feeding pyramid. It reaches the human feeding pyramid at some point, and the damage is done, both to environment and population. Human contact is also achieved through the bird feces, for example, when one wipes off bird droppings from one's car's windshield.

The migratory paths of those bird flocks are studied in computer models, which are very flexible and that provide variations in the flight path of the avians while factors as meteorogical conditions are introduced in the study, as to warrant that those debilitated birds don't have the chance to make it back to Cuba if they face bad weather.

At least one unconfirmed report of an unidentified body washing on American shores have been mentioned in the past.
Curiously, there's no public reports about any studies conducted on the body to see if it was placed in the water just to study the currents or if it was already carrying any particular viral strain.

Again, there are very advanced computer models that can predict the movement of oceanic currents with great accuracy.

This is where the newsfeed threw Mad Science out of kilter:

"The Pentagon acknowledged shutting down part of a computer system serving the office of Robert Gates, defence secretary, but declined to say who it believed was behind the attack.
Current and former officials have told the Financial Times an internal investigation has revealed that the incursion came from the People’s Liberation Army.

One senior US official said the Pentagon had pinpointed the exact origins of the attack. Another person familiar with the event said there was a “very high level of confidence...trending towards total certainty” that the PLA was responsible. The defence ministry in Beijing declined to comment on Monday.

Angela Merkel, Germany’s chancellor, raised reports of Chinese infiltration of German government computers with Wen Jiabao, China’s premier, in a visit to Beijing, after which the Chinese foreign ministry said the government opposed and forbade “any criminal acts undermining computer systems, including hacking”. “The PLA has demonstrated the ability to conduct attacks that disable our system...and the ability in a conflict situation to re-enter and disrupt on a very large scale,” said a former official, who said the PLA had penetrated the networks of US defence companies and think-tanks."

The Chinese just hacked the Pentagon, and there seem to be no open retaliation!
Now, do you remember the base the Soviets built in Cuba -near Havana - the Lourdes Electronic Surveillance Base?
It is the larges eavesdropping facility in the world outside the USA and Russia.
The Chinese, the Iranian, and the Russkies are full time users of that facility.
In the late eighties Cuban television ran a brag piece where some members of the Cuban military chatted in real time with New York cabbies. Reportedly, the Cuban military can read e-mails carried by American based internet providers and can also tap into American phones from that facility.

Hello, Democrats, that's anti-American! They didn't have to have an Attorney General authorizing them for eavesdropping and phone tapping!

Is the government going to respond to this hostile acts?
