Big fix o'news
Got a big fix o'news at five am.
They tell me that maybe something is happening among the higher ups, that they are all in survival mode, because they are all terrified to see who keeps the head on top of the shoulders.
There was a meeting on Thursday (curiously, a mere 24 hours before those rumors were sent off by (obviously) a castro agent in Miami) in which raul told everyone that no dissention is going to be tolerated and that he would leave all treason in the hands of the military courts. Which is known to be equal to being taken to the shooting squad and placed against the wall in a snap.
They have been effective in keeping the calm in Cuba. We know how:
terror... they have even told the dissidents that they will be thrown in jail or place under custody at home at any given moment (meaning, when they announce the whole damn thing)
People know that Raul is bloodthirsty, ruthless, and that he's even worse than kasstro. So they are not moving because they do not want to risk their lives.
There are rumors of the promised recognition by the USA to the new regime, which doesn't surprise us. Castro is on an off a ventilator to breath -and a tracheotomy was practiced on him. He's still alive, but in real bad shape. He's also got a septic infection, and there are all kind of rumors about his health, but doctors are talking about a collapsed lung (old man's neumonia) and faltering kidneys. We know that he's got liver problems because those marks in his skin are tell tale signs.
Sure thing, the guy was alive yesterday. What nobody knows for real: how badly is he doing. He's doing bad, but we do not have enough intelligence to make an educated guess about how much time is left, but anyways, that's not important anylonger.
As they say in Cuba, buy the Granma early everyday, and keep the TV and radio reloj on to know when he's dead!
Also the feeling is that any celebration wold unknowningly and unwillingly be a celebration of the ascension of raul to full fledge power and the continuation of the system, they have nothing to celebrate, untill the system as a whole is gone.

Fantomas, unfortunately they don't have control over his life or death. They would have unplugged the bastard if they were close enough to him. The announcement will be made on a weekday, so the workers and population in general can be herded for "memorials". It won't be during a weekend, because will all and within their limitations Cuban party hard on weekends....

Vana, those higher up have no cojones whatsoever. They have a lot of Cuban blood in their hands, and they are a bunch of opportunistic cowards. The change has to come from within the Cuban people, not from the privileged chaste, look at Russia -the higher ups made the changes, and everything they have there is terror and corruption, and we are up for surprises wit the Russkies, Russia is just a meaner, leaner, and more agressive substitute of the old and defunct Soviet Union. The higher ups in Cuba are the country's worst human element!

I recently started reading your blog more as I'm sure many people have and you offer good insight.
However, I don't think you can have it both ways. First you say that the rumors of Castro's death was obviously started by a Castro agent in Miami yet you go on to say with authority that he is still alive but with serious problems.
Did you have knowledge that he was dead but now have knowledge that he is alive?
I'm not trying to attack your post but either you have good information and sources or you don't.
Is it a conspiracy or do you have good sources?

I didn't think he was dead, read the caution that we put in all of our posts whenever these rumors start.
I rely only in the information if my sources, Rob, and yes, the rumor was started by one -or many- of his agents planted in Miami.
We have always said that the news are going to be known whenever the successor regimes sees it fit.
There's no having it both ways here.

I am talking about Porno Para Ricardo, who as you know have been ostracized in their own county for doing what the Dixie Chicks, Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against the Machine, and many others do in this country, i.e. opposing the government rather vocally.

Time and time again we have said that NO BLOG is going to scoop KaSStro's death end of THAT friggin' bit of claim to fame.
The other 900 times he has been declared dead by "someone" and the rumor spread like wild fire especially in Miami , our sources have just happened to have seen him the day the rumor started. Not that we have anyone following him but them the lucky breaks. Once our sources were almost sure he WAS dead because he was taken down 2 flights of stairs wrapped in a black blanket and tied to a gurney
VERY Macabre, but that time he was followed to his REAL PUNTO CERO and it was clear he was NOT dead, but damn near it.
This last time we can say the following:
There is NO reason to believe is dead , but none of MY sources can testify to it. There have been several incidents in La Habana that indicated that something BIG was happening, as the day progressed (on Sat) the news were that apparently there had been a VERY strong shake up at the very top and some of the sources were so far as to say there had been an attempt to a Coup and an assassination attempt on Raul. This was triggered by an internal communiqué that KaSStro had died.
After Raul took care of the would be over takers , the shockwave made its way all the way to Oriente since it was clear that whoever was in this Coup thing had been planning it for a while and it was to hit when the death of KaSStro was announced. Was the latest death of KaSStro a plot on Raul's side to force a move on the part of the die hard Fidelistas (who are shitting bricks that the gravy train is over) who the fuck knows. What IS known is that SOMETHING HUGE happened between Thursday and Saturday and it happened at the uppermost levels of the Junta but it was contained within Columbia (Ciudad Libertad) and anyone who lives near that area can attest to sudden troops movements. And other military center across the Island. The shit did NOT hit the streets. Because people as close to La Vibora di not see anything unusual.
What this tells us is that Raul has a GOD DAMN grasp on the Cuban situation that NO ONE expected him to have. Also NO ONE expected that he'd put his daughter as the one to offer the olive branch to the Cuban people and have Mariela deliver the news to the foreign press that KaSStro AINT COMING BACK!
As far as attacking our posts or any post on any blog hey, we are ALL fallible we are not there and the communications get scarcer by the second (thank Bush for THAT!)
I waited till today to post the supposed Coup attempt because I waited to get it from 3 different sources albeit with 3 different twists but the common element was that the coup was executed on the “secret” news that KaSStro was dead. So SOMEONE had to plant THAT rumor. If KaSStro was indeed dead the day after the rumor spread the real news would appear on Granma and I do not think they will wait 4 days of the animal being dead to announce. I am thinking there will be some military shingding and some vigil with the corpse of the motherfucker in pretty good looking shape for the world to see that he did not live to 200 but man did he have a good complexion! Embalming? Perhaps.
But as of THIS second there is NO solid fact based on current events that tell us the SUMO HIJO DE PUTA kicked it. What we DO KNOW is that Raul is NOT the wooz everyone though he was. Which means that a Chinese model of government will probably be his strategy and to those who do not like it …. Well I am sure La China still remembers how to scream execution orders.
There are stilll more pieces of information that we need to verify and which are coming drop by drop.
Like the alert of the Reserva del Alto Mando, which we got a few days ago. Of course, we were missing a few details here and there, and we decided not to publish an incomplete information, but Cuba Polidata
has a good report on it.
We have also some independent reports of small unidentified planes flying back and forth to Miami with the protection of the Cuban Air Force.
I really feel bad about breaking the news to people that Raul is in control, as intended. We are better off by evaluating the situation as it is, and by not creating false expectatives by saying that the end is near or that the castros are going to leave Cuba.
There's no firm indication or credible information that leads us to believe so, even if such a reliable source as Cuba Polidata has it as a possibility.
As per Kasstro's status, our sources are standing by their stories that he's alive, and they coincide on saying that the rumors were started by castroite agents with the intention of bagging a few "hot-head" fidelistas in Cuba, and to ridiculize the Cuban American community in the United States.
We believe that the Soviet method is being followed to a t, and that even some "improvements" have been made to it. For example, that raul took away the fatigues from Castro and dressed him like an old senile inmate of a psycho-ward. That family members are offering contradictory clues, but one thing that transpires clearly is that kasstro's not coming back.
By the way, our readers in Miami should look for evidence that Juanita Castro is still in that city. We have unconfirmed reports placing her in Havana.
