A reserved place....

He has his place reserved already.
Not with his parents, but somewhere else, where he "led" the "Segundo Frente Oriental Frank Pais".
Not a word if they have another niche ready for the Beast.
Anyways, all of them will go back to where they came from: Hell.

Isn't that the place where he has a pact to be buried along with his best friend Abelardo Colome Ibarra?

Of course, you know where they are going to bury Fidel? If they had no scrupples desecrating Maceo's tomb by burying Blas Roca beside him, where do you think they are going to bury Castro? Yes, in Martí's mausoleum. On that day we Cubans will have reached the lowest point in our decline as a nation. It is impossible to conceive of a greater national disgrace.

fortunately, no Manuel.
The place is full, and if that ever happen Marti will be taken back to Havana, and the whole cemetery will be desacrated, and the Independence War heros will have to be removed to sacred land.
Believe me, we will see a lot of unearthing of corpses when the whole nightmare is over.
There is a plan to bury castro under the monument to Marti in La Plaza Civica. Celia Sanchez came out with the idea of burying all the old guard under the bust of Marti at the Turquino Peak.
There are a faction of commies who want the kasstros in their ancestral home of Biran, with their parents (Juanita Castro, Ramon Castro are the promoters of the idea, and a few commie honchos back them, by backing Ramon Castro, because, ahem, Juanita is still supposedly in Miami)

The guy holding the flower kinda looks like how I imagine Raul looking from the back, minus being dead of course.

I forgot to tell you what stards are.
They are actually stars-turds, which have the light of a star and the general physical and chemical properties (including appearance) of a turd.
You can say, for example, so and so is a Hollywood stard, or raul castro is a four stard general.

Trust me, Raúl is going to bury Fidel in Martí's Mausoleum. After the last 48 years, nothing would be more "natural" or predictable. Of course the "Hero of Moncada" must rest with the "Architect of Moncada." The irony is, of course, that Martí was no more the "architect" of Moncada than Fidel was its "hero." Still, this will only confirm the Castroites in their determination to equate them in death as they equated them when Castro lived. And, remember, they buried Blas Roca beside Maceo, so clearly this is not something that is beyond them.

Did you hear that Juanita just sold her pharmacy for several million dollars?

Now that you mention it, a photograph of Raúl's backside is indeed of historical significance. So much of our history in the last 48 years emanates from his backside. In fact, until only recently, Raúl's backside was more famous and talked about in Cuba than Fidel's. In his final days, Fidel, determined to eclipse Raúl in everything, managed to take from his baby brother the only distinction that was uniquely his own. Sad in a way. Sic transit gloria mundi.

Yes, we reported here that the pharmacy was for sale, and whenever it was sold there was some buzz about it. Curiously, I am working on a piece for the Black Sheep on my first visit in 1969 to tomb of Marti.
In my last visit, in 1981, the goose stepping of the change of guard was deafening. That time around, I visited the graves of Cespedes and Estrada Palma, and they were unkempt. That was my last visit ever to Oriente.

I'm surprised that Estrada Palma's grave hasn't been desecrated (as his statue on Havana's "Avenue of the Presidents" was), and, of course, Céspedes' is just a cenotaph. Also buried in that cemetary is Maceo's mother and two of his brothers.

In the olden days they used to give a commemorative medal to every visitor to Martí's Mausoleum.

Enrico Santí, the son of the Mausoleum's architect, Mario Santí, wrote an article some years back in Diario Las Américas claiming that when Martí's niche was opened in 1951 to place his remains in the new Mausoleum, it was discovered that there were no remains, which fact was concealed from the populace.

The leading Martí scholar and a friend of Santí's, Carlos Ripoll, claimed otherwise in a rebuttal. The most convincing proof that Ripoll produced to counter Santí's allegations were newspaper articles from the era attesting to the existance of the bones, and, indeed, relating the story that one of those present at the excavation had grabbed Martí's skull and started kissing it frantically and literally had to have the skull pried from his hands.

my story is up at the Black Sheep of Exile.
yes, Cespedes is just a cenotaph, not a real grave.
No, the tombs hadn't been desecrated, they were just dirty, and unkempt, weeds sprung all over the place....
