Viernes 13
I was sure that August 13, 1926 was either a Tuesday or a Friday.
Guess what, it was a Friday.
So, like Rosemary's baby, fidel kasstro is the Spawn of Satan.
Viernes 13 is the day that monsters are hatched or born, I am sure that those doctors who operated on him were taken aback by the sulphur vapors and that they saw the 666 somewhere in the body of that demon.

It's interesting about martes el 13 because it seems it's the same way for Ecuadorians, too. They even have a saying, "No te cases ni manejes [martes el 13]."
There is an old Mother Goose rhyme which goes:
Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.
Clearly, the author of this ditty was no Nostradamus.
Of course not!
Well, the saying originates in Spain, from where all this witchy traditions sailed to the Spanish speaking new world of today.
"Martes trece, ni te cases ni te embarques".
Embarques meaning take a boat (presumably to the Americas).... in Cuba is has taken another spin, since in colloquial Habanero embarques means to undertake a dubious commitment -or actually being undertaken as a result of a dubious commitment gone awry.
In today's parlance in Cuba, embarques also means "to embark in a raft and sail to the States", but everyday is a good day to sail away to freedom. The bad day happens only if you're deemed wet foot. The days of infamy and shame happen everyday, since the politicos and the clay footed golden celebrities are consistently silent about the plea of the wet footed Cuban rafters and the immorality of the dry-foot wet foot abomination (set up by Clinton, maintained by W)
Well, I might be attacking our own. I mean, our own -politicos, celebrities, and talking heads- who don't care about our own, the rafters. I am much closer to a rafter than to one of the others. So guess who's my own!
Se nota que soy fiestero: nací un viernes! jejeje.
In Cuba it IS Martes 13 and the saying is
"ni te cases ni te embarques"
(embarques as it applies to traveling by ship, not the Cuban "emabarque" which loosely translated meand "being fucked up"
"Mi socio estas embarqa'o!"
"Buddy you are FUCKED!"
