"I am watching you"
Well, Big Brother's at work with the tax payers bucks as backers!
Our good friend Albert Quiroga found today that our website has been "restricted" (c'mon, that's plain old commie censorship, isn't it?) and that it was barred from a server from which he access it regularly.
This is what Albert reports:
"Guess what I saw this AM when I went for my daily read of "Killcastro;" tried accessing the blog through the Havana5060 link and got the same results. Checked a few blog sites to see if this was a generalized restriction (Babalu, Paxety, Blog for Cuba, The Real Cuba, Aaron's cc {which displays an animated graphic of moe-ham-mad fornicating with a goat}, Abajo Fidel and others - none were restricted. I see a double standard here, but then, having worked for the ASS all these years and run into more than one candy-assed liberal policymaker in the agency, not at all surprised...in a way, this is a compliment to Killcastro. You must be pissin' off some real losers if "they" are trying to block you so earnestly. It also means quite a few are paying attention to your message - which probably bothers "the power."
I don't see what category Killcastro fits in, justifying restriction - unless you've offended a closet kagaSStro lover cowardly cowering within the bowels of the ASS.
Here is what popped up:

Goodness gracious! To think I may be in trouble for visiting Killcastro! Oh, oh, oh, I'm sooooooooooo scaaaaaaaared!!
Just keep up the good work and keep on pissin' 'em off.
Albert"
Well, he's already back on rockin' on and reading us. How? That's a little secret!
But I can tell y'all that he is using the same method the kids use in Kuba.
Will you believe that some of us are under the same kind of surveillance here in the good old U.S. of A.?
As Albert puts it, this is a good goddamn compliment to our website.

5 Comments:
It appears the "restriction" has been rescinded - may have been accidental, may have been not accidental.
Regardless whether or not we agree with political opinions and related subject matters on any web or blog site, there is no room for self-appointed censors. Period. If employers feel their systems should not access anything outside a company environment, or Intranet, if you will, the restriction should be across the board. I can fully understand, indeed approve, blocking inappropriate sites which may be related to illegal activities, such as pornography.
By the way, anybody who says "they never go to web sites or blogs unrelated to their job" is lying. Period.
El Güinero left this comment under another subject and I am just copying it under this topic, where it belongs:
"El Güinero said...

Gracias Güinero, apparently Albert is up and running again, rockin' for the free world!
Thanks for coming by and commenting!
It is *MY* FUCKING cursing man and that "KILL" in KILLCASTRO makes a LOTTA people uneasy (CB - remember that well intentioned (?) Cuban who asked us to take down the BLOG because it was TOO radical and could damage the "cause", we did tell him to GO FUCK himself and la chiva he was riding on, didn’t we?)
We are probably thrown in with the PORN/Violence filters...
How funny is THAT?
Yeah, I remember that guy!
He was all upset because we swore a lot and because if we really wanted the freedom of Cuba we should not say anything of the sort, like KillCastro!
KillCastro is kind of the equivalent of powerful name for a rock band, as Black Sabbath! compare for example to this other famous moniker: Pink Floyd, great music, but no shock waves when the name is pronounced.
When people hear or read KillCastro they go "whaddafucksdat?".... that's call good branding! Who would have think that kids in Cuba want KillCastro t-shirts to go to rock concerts!
What a bunch of s**t-kicking rednecks..........George Dubya may have been "elected" but don't kid yourselves that you live in a democracy.........it only exists on paper for George and his friends to manipulate as they see fit.........as for the USA being mankind's last hope for peace, God help us all if that ever becomes true...............
