For almost 90 years we have seen how the communist system deal with the deaths of “leaders” AND no leader in Russia ever held the power that KaSStro did in Kuba, so the first order of business in Kuba is to destroy the myth of FIDELISMO.
In Kuba is not incongruent to hear someone say:
"I am NOT communist but I am FIDELISTA"
and that probably the majority of the ñangaras we all know.
KaSSTro can not DIE as a martyr because anyone who succeeds him will find life on the top to be totally unmanageable . AND every fucking thing that has gone wrong in 47 years will be blamed on these guys who could NOT save KaSStros life. So the BY THE BOOK this is how the announcement of the death of KaSStro will come
1 - They need to start getting people out their FIDELISMO idea before he is announced dead
2 -So they will gradually begin issuing little statements like
“El comandante por su amor a la revolución se sobre extendió en sus deberes y esta es la causa de su enfermedad ( we are already passed THAT topic)
3- El comandante por su amor a la revolución tenia que estar al tanto de los mas mínimos incidentes y esto no permitía que pudiera estar en todas partes a todas horas por lo tanto algunas cosas de mínimas importancia fueron ignoradas
4) El Comandante cometió muchos errores por no haber sido informado de la verdad por en Cuba por pesronas de confianza que lo asesoraban erróneamente algunas a propósito.
5) El Comandante ignoro ciertos consejos que hubieran ayudado nuestro desarrollo.
6) El Comandante tratando de manipular todo lo relacionado con Cuba cometió errores políticos y económicos que paralizaron nuestro desarrollo.
7) Castro (Notice the change in the way he is addressed avoiding any reference to FIDELismo) no solo tomo poder absoluto en Cuba pero también trato de controlar política internacional de esta manera dejando que nuestro pueblo sufriera innecesariamente
8 CASTRO DESTRUYO NUESTRO PAÍS
9 ESE HIJO DE PUTA ESTA MUERTO!
At that point the people of Cuba will be HAPPY to hear he is dead and the FIDELISMO will be erased from the people's consciousness.
This is Communism 101 - they did the same with Lenin and Stalin and at a lesser degree with Kruschev.
The ONLY way to announce that KaSStro is physically dead is by killing his myth first!

We still have no confirmation. Remember: rumors have killed a blog's credibility before... so let's cheer up moderately until Cuba-GranHermano-visión tells us more.
Silvia Acevedo hasn't confirmed it, tho, so there's no way of knowing, yet.
yes, Miguel, you're absolutely right, or absofuckinglutely right, as we like to say here...
As you have seen in our blog, we have had many posts outlining what's the situation in Cuba, as felt inside the island by people who are in the know, and also, about how things are in Cuba in its particular context and according to its particular historical characteristics.
We have also said that it's not relevant anymore if kasstro is dead or alive. Actually, for all the plans the successors have, it would be better for them that he was already dead. This is an experience which is also similar to the days of the passing of Franco, whose death was only announced after a compromise was reached among all the parties that succeeded him in coming into power.
Interestingly enough, this rumors come after I published an exhaustive post on (history refresher and some bullet points) dealing with the backstage struggles among the members of the nomenklatura. KillCastro has outlined very clearly in other posts, and specifically in this last post how the figure of kasstro will have to be first demythified and then politically dragged, so the future becomes manageable for the successors.
El Fidelissimo and the Fidelismo will die together.
They will then destroy all of those who think they are "more fidelistas than fidel", and only then the path will be clear to start any transformations.
In the meantime, as I have pointed before, Valdes and raul are using the "brand recognition" principle to keep on going and to buy time to execute their plans.
The myth is still there, but its presence is much less stronger right now. And it wil be a matter of time that they will start also chipping at the figure of che.

That was the whole point - that WITHOUT any tangible proof, blogs keep reporting this DEATH and that one day if you give the scoop EVERY DAY the odds will be that you hit right.

Since Friday there has been a complete blackout of phone communication within and outside the island. This is VERY disturbing because THAT situation had changed in the last 2 months so La China Loca MUST be counterattacking at Valdes domain.
I spent 6 hours trying to get through and give up at about 2AM. Holguin is STARVING, trains to and from Holguin are not running. THAT is what is important RIGHT NOW!
The fact that the USA has increased sales to KaSStro-Kuba by 350 million in 4 months seems to have gone over everyone’s head , but Joe Papp can not get a Visa for her wife and my wife can not see her family?

My sources aren't saying much.
They feel that, yes, something is happening, as much as something has been happening since kasstro was sent to the hospital and then moved around until he was taken out wrapped like the black mummy. They feel that something's been boiling under the surface, and that the military and police presence has coming up and down without any apparent reason. So they would not be surprised if the guy's already dead, but they care more about their incertain future than about the death of the bearded iguana.
We can't afford to lose perspective, kasstro is totally irrelevant now, the future of Cuba is what is at the stake now.
