Mick
Mick reads us on a daily basis and he has commented in a few topics on our blog. He's particularly interested in the future of Cuba, and the relationship between Spain and a free Cuba. As they say of Americans and Brits, Cubans and Spaniards are the same people separated by a common language. Mick thinks -rightfully so- that Spain and Cuba will recuperate their old ties, and that both countries are going to benefit enormously from the freedom of Cuba. I happen to think the same.
Spain is a very dear country for the two guys who write this blog, and to have El Españolito in the blog roll is an honour. Rock on, Mick!

Spain will be the Jesus to the Lazarus that is Cuba. Spain will resurrect the country.
The ties that bind Spain & Cuba go so deep that even to this day when things in Spain go REALLY as bad as they can people will ask "We lost Cuba , so how much worse can THIS be?"
And they are talking about Colonial times.
Remember Spain gave the USA Puerto Rico the Phillipines and assorted islands so the USA would NOT get their hands in Cuba. Always thinking that somehow, eventually Spain would come back.. Well god damn it took a long time but ..THEY ARE BACK..!
And this will not only be an economic boom to Cuba it will be an economic shot in the arm for Spain and probably the end of any other socialist regime in Spain !
Your right Killcastro, they lost the island, thanks God for that, they killed our indians and introduced slavery to the island. I just hope they clean up their acts and dont try to take advantage of the people, like their are doing now with cuban girls ( almost kids), for their vanal pleasure, when the inevitable comes...
