It's all in the name....

Until a few years ago, fidel kasstro's son was just Fidelito.
A name for a man without any political importance in the country.
But, hey, one grows up, and those shortened-babied names don't go well with your mature persona....
Now, after the visit of his mother (has she left already? I don't think so), the guy resurfaces in a scientific conference in Brasil, says that his father is doing better, leaves open the possibility that he would probably never come back as "president" since he's facing a good six month recovery process, and that a new era has started with tio raul at the helm.
And under which name he appears? well, nothing short of the first transnational political dynasty moniker: Fidel Castro y Diaz-Balart. Wang bang dang! That surname was unspeakable in Cuba until a few days ago, and now this guy's getting to learn a new signature featuring the family hyphenated name so popular in Washington D.C.! I mean, the cousins in Capitol Hill are probably blushing now. Is Fidelito anywhere in the dictatorial succession line? What's his place in the food chain? Is his family making him presidentiable?
Hey, but I said dynasty, didn't you read that?
At the rate we are going, the succession of daddy kasstro and tio raul will end up developing into an imperial crowning. Maybe they invite Ted Kennedy. Good grief, let me shut up, I don't want those two families to intermarry!

For anyone interested, here's a good background summary on the Castro / Fidelito / Diaz-Balart saga:
