The Junta will march
On August 13, the Junta will march on el Malecon.
This is the latest rumor, still to be confirmed, that's doing the rounds in Havana.
A march?
Yes....
raul caligula kagasstro and the other members of the junta will apparently finally show their faces on that day. In my opinion, this is another maneuver to buy time, to see if they can get kasstro back from the gates of hell, and if not, they will have to use the moment to announce that raul caligula kagasstro is officially fronting the circus.
It would provide the Mainstream Media with such a lovely opportunity... the black flags flying in front of the United States Interest Section, the Junta marching in front of a throng of people, all wishing fidel well.
I just hope the USIS ticker has a complete update on kasstro's health or kasstro's stiffness running on that day!
Another possibility would be that kasstro is really in such bad shape that he is unable to hold the reins, and they will present the junta officially to the people. If this is the case, kasstro will still hold a symbolic position until he dies.
For all practical reasons, he's still in power. Nothing has changed in Cuba, and the repression has increased even more, so that's business as usual, isn't it?
They could also anounce the death of kagasstro, and the rumor is that if that is the case they will also announce where will he be buried.
And talking about burials, no new construction is being done in the Colon Cemetery, maybe after all, they have decided to bury him together with che in Santa Clara, which is good, because it means only one monument to be demolished.
Maybe Juanita wants the ashes for her mantel in Coral Gables....
Another possibility is a burial in Colon in the Pantheon of the Armed Forces or in his ancestral home in Biran. There is a memorial monument planned for the "revolution square" in Leninist style, but there's no new construction going on at the moment.
There's also speculation that kasstro would be euthanized should he becomes incapacitated. Such a great leader cannot have human weaknesses, as discapacitating infirmity. What an ironic thing, his own henchmen would kill him without a trial, to preserve his image in the Pantheon of (False) Gods of the Left. How fitting!
