A few words.

Cafecitos with the Cuban American politicians in Miami, president Bush, didn't bring kasstro down. Time did. Let's not forget that neither you, nor any other politician has nothing to do with his impending demise.
There's no protagonistic role in that announced death, that will come hopefully very soon. Be honest, you have nothing to do with that, nor the Cuban American politicians, don't try to appear as the liberators of Cuba, you are not. Or don't you remember that you have skirted the issue of taking down down the dry foot - wet foot?
On the contrary, by ordering the Coast Guard to not allow Cuban Americans out of the country you are being a bit like kasstro, Cubans can't take the waters.
A peaceful invasion of Cuban Americans is the only thing that would really hasten the fall of the last dictatorship in the Americas.
It would call the international attention onto Cuba, and the government, or what is left of it would not be able to resist the pressure of Cuban Americans embracing Cubans on Cuban soil.
Preventing the Cuban American boaters from reaching Cuba is just giving a nice cover to(remainders of) the dictatorship to repress the Cuban people at this time and start a blood bath without international attention.
Let the Cuban Americans bring the celebratory mood and the party to Havana.
That's what is going to get the ball rolling, and raul caligula kagasstro would not dare to do anything against them, he will probably flee leaving his dying brother in what we hope is his death bed. Or maybe he commits suicide, even better.
Bring the momentum to its peak, let the Cuban Americans go to Cuba right now and take the streets with the Cubans from the island and we will see the dictatorship's end now, with no other continuation than total freedom.
These are not only our ideas, this is what people in Cuba want now.

Estoy totalmente de acuerdo contigo en esto...

I for one wanna go at one point. My father has spent the last 40 years wanting to go back and he's indicated to me in the past that he wants to be buried there. As soon as the chance comes, im totally gonna go back and see it all firsthand.

Do you live in Miami? I heard there are people going crazy back in my old neighbourhood of Hialeah. Waving flags and going nuts. I'm in DR right now (my dads Cuban, moms Dominican) and interestingly, most of the locals i've spoken to today keep asking me if im "happy he's dying"

My answer? No... I'd never celebrate the death of anyone. And to be honest with you, i'd perfer he lived to see the eventual uprising when his "beloved" Cuban people take to the streets and knock that asswipe back to the shithole he came from.

For 47 years, every Cuban thats lost everything he ever owned (my family wasn't the rich bourgeois Castristas claim his opposition is made up of. They were farmers who came from Spain looking for a better life and with the few chelitos que tenian, set up a little farm to feed themselves and live better) or lost someone close to them has wanted to see that man on trial and have his crimes exposed to the world. That we have been robbed of that possibility because of intestinal haemorrhage is not something that makes me want to dance up and down Calle 8.

I have to agree, if we don't go now the new regime will take hold and repress their way into full control and power.
One bright note this morning is that I woke to the sound of outboards, you hear it everywhere. I took a look outside ad one of my neighbors was outside running his motors, on a boat that has not run in at lest five years. Funny that he would pick today of all days to test the motors... I have write up something for my blog
