Latest Cuban rumor
It's being said that probably in the few next days, kasstro is going to unveil a program that will effectively federate Cuba and Venezuela, fusing the two into technically the same entity. Of course, Cubans won't be able to travel to Venezuela, because, well, Venezuela has borders which can be easily crossed. And I mean that can be crossed as in the way out of a nightmare.
Why would this be?
kasstro is a senile old arrogant son of a bitch, but he's not dumb. He knows that raul alone cannot survive for a long time, and in order to have his Hitlerian dream of a 1000 years revolution (remember, 1000 years Reich?) he needs some heavy handed dude at the helm, with a strong army and a ruthless secret police to monitor the citizens' every thought. So he is asking el mico putumayo to help him out, and that's what's happening, Cuba is going to go the way of a Chinese take out if these guys implement a federation of both "republics".
They are drinking off the old Soviet vodka flask, apparently, and these is going to provoke a huge shift in the heart of commiedom in Cuba. I don't think that even the most crazed commie wants to be part of a federation with anyone. Well, Cubans want to become part of the States precisely to prevent these crazy things from happening ever again, and that I understand.
But Cuba has been always -or used to be- a fiercely nationalistic country, notion that was used and abused by kasstro in order to make people believe that he was "Cuba" and that "Cuba" was a synonim of "communism", and yes, to make people -and the world- believe that the "(fill in the blank) found in Cuba is the best in the world". In other words, kasstro hijacked the national identity and national symbols in a typical fascist fashion.
My source tells me that some people in the professional classes in Cuba fear that kasstro is engineering a succession with a lot of chavez in it. More chavez than raul, because raul is getting worse by the day. The majority of the impoverished Cubans are not raving about this either. The last thing they want is a tyranny with fresh resources. Some other people fear that a Venezuelan gambit could trigger an American invasion, and they are logically afraid of becoming "collateral damage" especially after CNN and the like present a daily show of carnage in Iraq on Cuban T.V., with the only objective of instilling fear on them on behalf of the tyrant, their paymaster.
China, Venzuela, and yes Russia and Iran, are every day more involved in business in Cuba, they are giving kasstro -not Cuba, mind you- a lot of financial relief, and in the case of Russia, they have even pardoned the astronomical debt to the former Soviet Union. All of that come with a heavy tag price, don't you think? Iran has an objective in Cuba: to have a secret base in Cuba designed to listen to American communications, and terror training grounds near the U.S.of A., plus the nuclear plant in the area of Cienfuegos.
China wants to dominate shipping and commerce in the Caribbean and for that they need a slave Cuba. On the other hand, the megalomanic dream of a Red Latin America would not be able to exist without a captive Cuba, where to worship the myth of kasstro and che huevera, and as a threatening base just a few minutes away from South Florida.
Does it sound crazy? Yes, indeed.
But tell me what hasn't sound crazy in any example of kasstrospeak during the last 47 years?

Maybe Pat Robertson's advise was not so crazy after all.
