Cuban American, the mainstream press hates you!
A Kelli Kennedy (with that surname you should know that the person in question is a jackass) writes a story for the AP describing an antiterrorist raid conducted by the FBI in the Liberty City neighborhood of Miami, during which seven people got arrested for plotting to destroy some buildings, among them Chicago's Sears Tower.
This person goes onto mentioning that some of the 9/11 hijackers lived and trained in South Florida, without mentioning exactly where, in the desinformative tradition of the mainstream media. Apparently, the plotters are "mainly American without ties to Al-Qaeda or other terrorists outfits". Clarifications will be offered -one hopes- in a press conference with Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez scheduled for tomorrow, simultaneously in Washington and Miami.
Till this point, the article is fine and dandy, and I reproduce below the most incredible paragraph of it for your evaluation of the kind of venom spewed onto the Cuban American population of Miami by the "writers" (some Mark Sherman from Washington DC is listed as a contributing writer):
"Several terrorism investigations have had south Florida links. Several of the Sept. 11 hijackers lived and trained in the area, including ringleader Mohamed Atta, and several plots by Cuban-Americans against Fidel Castro's government have been based in Miami. Jose Padilla, a former resident once accused of plotting to detonate a radioactive bomb in the U.S., is charged in Miami with being part of a North American terror cell."
Let's see:
1- The "journalists" throw the Cuban Americans in the mix to establish a parallel and communion between Islamofacists and Cuban freedom fighters. They present Cuban Americans as a crazed terrorist bunch holed up in a city which they make to appear alien to the rest of the American population. I am really surprised that they haven't compared openly Osama Bin Laden with George Washington, yet.
2- Following the mention of Cuban Americans, they mention Jose Padilla, so the uninformed reader automatically thinks that this prick is Cuban which he is not. Besides, no Cuban Americans live in Liberty City, which is a mainly black enclave north of Miami. There are mosques in Liberty City, though, as Masjid Al-Ansaar, visible from I-95, specially from the southbound lane of the road.
3- They present fidel kasstro's tyranny as a legitimate government, conveniently forgetting that it was a terror gang who gained power by attacking the citizenry of Cuba more than they attacked the armed forces and paramilitary groups loyal to the former tyranny of Cuba. What they call "government" is nothing short of the first sucessful tyrannical regime installed through guerrilla warfare with pioneering methods to terrorize the population, including televised executions during the 1960's. Those were the handiwork of che huevera.
4- They create -deliberately- a confusion, to instill fear to Cuban Americans in the rest of the American population, almost creating the illusion that the Cuban Americans who fight kasstro are somehow in the same boat with the terrorists of 9/11.
5- The sole fact that such a paragraph is written and published by Associated Press denotes and demonstrates that there's a campaign in favor of kasstro in the higher ranks of the mainstream media.
6- Notably, when kasstro tries to ingratiate himself with Israel, this campaign tries to put the Islamofascist terrorists and the Cuban freedom figthers in the same boat, to try to earn the sympathies of Israel, when kasstro was the principal provider of training to all sort of Middle Eastern terrorists, Yasser Arafat included, plus his support to the Syrian government, Al Fatah, the OLP, Saddam Hussein, and all sort of criminals in the area.
7- kasstro was actually an invention of the American press, and they keep on feeding the golem. Now the American press is held hostage by kasstro, and that happens to them for giving this monster the aura of liberator of the people of Cuba of which Dan Pack o' Lies Rather is so fond of.
8- The mentioned paragraph follows the scrip dictated from Havana, without mentioning that five paid agents of kasstro are in prison for espionage and for hatching terror plots against American military installation.
9- No mention of the latest case of a couple of professors of the Florida International University who were nabbed for fronting an ideological campaign of venom against the youth of Florida, particulary the children of Cuban Americans, while they also spied for kasstro.
10- The phrase "mainly American without ties to Al-Qaeda or other terrorists outfits" certainly exonerates the Islamofascists, and throws a lot of bullcrap on the Cuban American community which is presented in this article as a violent group of assassins ready to attack the United States.
The analysis could continue ad infinitum. The only thing we can do against this is make our voices heard. Somebody will listen.

Bravo! That's a great decontruction of that horrible, bigoted, slanderous article! We are the one group that it is politically correct to attack. What is worst about all of this is that there seems to be a united front against us. When one journalist attacks us, you then start seeing other ones popping up all over the place doing the same thing. It's almost as if they're following some directive, perhaps even from Havana! Case in point, I just found another HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE piece that is EVEN worst than the Kennedy piece. I hope that indignant people can write to this bigot and give him a piece of their mind!
