Loading, shooting.

Cuban American celebrities always give me a lot of ammunition to for my high caliber gun. Today I used some of that ammunition to hunt the crow that I am eating with my partner KillCastro, which I served in fricasse. And man, that was a good tasting crow. Y'all now that we are giving props to Andy Garcia, whom we have been consistently blasting. He has done a movie which documents the Cuba that kasstro destroyed and the monstruos nature of the bearded beast and that bloodthirsty sidekick of him, a Argentinean mercenary who killed with the gun and by the gun died.
I am happy to report that the DVD was on sale already in the black market cathedral that is the New York City subway system. No, I didn't buy it, because I believe that the artist should benefit of his work. Of course the vendors were illegal immigrants who were boycotting the American way and the American life as we know it.
Then, I got even more ammo, courtesy of my friend Mike Pancier, who pointed in a comment on Babalu that Lario's on SoBe is closed today because they are supporting the walk off of the "Latino brothers". That according to the main mullet wrapper of town -thanks Mike for that colorful phrase- the Miami Herald.
I remembered that said restaurant is owned by the Estefans, this is what I found on the internet about it:
"Lario's on the Beach, Gloria Estefan's lively Cuban eatery, is more tourist-driven than most of the Cuban restaurants embedded throughout South Beach. However, with large platters of black beans and rice and a mojito recognized as one of Ocean Drive's best, even locals can enjoy a change of pace from the overly-chic-eclectic-fusion crowd every now and then and indulge in something a little more kitsch. With a large selection of food, fast service, and salsa music booming over the Spanish / English conversations lingering nearby, it's a great place for vacationers or the native south Floridians who find entertainment in the spectrum of Miami's culture."
So the Estefans are not only silent about the balseros, they are not only silent about the abuses suffered by the Cubans that got fired upon the other day, they have even marched in soidarity with the ones who blackmail our country of adoption. They have marched with the che huevera t-shirt crowd, and to be honest, they could have closed to protest the dry-foot wet-foot, but I guess that the balseros don't buy enough of Gloria's CDs. They should have chained a raft with an skeleton on top of it to the gates of the Lario's. But no, they are catering to others.
I have never bought a CD of that mediocre music of theirs, but with the ammuntion I got I am thinking of going out and buying a bunch of her CD's to do some skeet shooting.
I hope someone in the Department of Health in Miami-Dade is reading this and wants to know about the big rats I once saw at Lario's.

I always thought Larios - as well as their other venture, Bongo's - were overpriced, overrated eateries. The last time we ate at Bongo's in Downtown Disney, the black beans were no doubt right out of the can, and lukewarm to boot. The "solidarity" bit nails it; no need to patronize them again. Boycott the boycotters!
