The kommies attack! - PLEASE READ!

Well, today I got a direct hit from KUBA ... My PC was attacked in an interesting twist, they failed miserably but gotta give him credit for the sheer attempt and laugh at their stupidity.
Being an IT guy to me this was a piece of cake; for those of you who are not, this may be TROUBLE so LISTEN UP!

The minions are trying to infiltrate your system with the following scheme:
They send themselves a fake email that contains a virus but APPEARS to come from YOU. Of course the email is kicked back to your postmaster and since in the headers they have spoofed YOUR email address and server, your server will think it is YOU sending YOURSELF an email and who would send themselves a virus, right?

So if you do NOT have virus protection on your local machine, you are FUCKED.
So be VERY careful and DO get email virus protection IN YOUR MACHINE , even if your ISP tells you they are watching out for you.

For the more technical
The sending server is hidden and uses the name: camara.com.cu (it doesn’t exist)
The REAL sending machine is ENET.CU and the sender is infocom@ENET.CU
Kuba has stopped all WHOIS services within the country and hides the IP address of the sender so you must use professional tools to track anything within the island, for example on this particular email they spoofed a server in California BUT , the tools report the server is indeed within KUBA.
Exactly here:
Calle 21 #661 Vedado, Plaza, 10400 Ciudad de la Habana
(CB, you may know what Kommie Ministry is there)

Now do not EVER reply to these guys even if you are burning up with anger because the same way we can trace them, they can trace you, and with new technology they can trace you to your home town...!

SO get yourself a REAL email antivirus program like AVG ( Norton and McAfee are two jokes)
And let them attack until their rice ration for the month is down to a couple of grain.
Psssst.. Old scumbak cirrhosis spotted prick .. Your "technical wizards" are a buncha amateurs!

You’re right KC, they are amateurs. I remember reading an article on castro's plans for electronic warfare years ago, around '99 I think. This proves my theory that the best Cuban brains are in exile or castro’s prison gulags. Too bad the commies are quivering cowards in the face of free speech.

Okey-
I did NOT make myself undestood I guess.

They can NOT hack our site (BLOG), fucking NASA can not hack our site. It is running on Windows 2003 and you need console access to do any damage , in other words you MUST be at the PC itself to fuck it up. and Windows 2003 has enough built in protection that VERY few people outside Microsoft itself can break into a WINDOWS 2003 server. It has the DoD seal of approval. (If you are a semi techie and give me some shit about linux and this and that go fuck yourself youre an idiot and TRY to hack us!)

What they tried to do was hack ME or better said alpha@killcastro.com
My posting was a warning that their method was a new twist and could fool some ISPs because it looks like you are sending YOURSELF an email with an attachement (I do that all the time when I am at client's sites)
BUT.. since I check my incoming emails at least at 3 points , my antivirus checker AVG cought that, regardless who was sending the email , even if it was ME to MYSELF , it had a virus in it. It actually was worse than a virus it was a script that had I ran it, it wouldve wiped off my HOME machine (BUT NOT THE BLOG)
So the advice was to be careful with your incoming email and do NOT trust Norton nor McAfeee REGARDLESS of ther advertising budget they are pieces of shit!

So protect your LOCAL machines , let your ISP protect your blog cause you can NOT!

PS - Warning about BLOG hacking
Someone who wants to HACK your BLOG can (by brute force) guess your username and password and get administrative rights , which would allow them to change, add, or delete posts.
So make your passwords VERY complicated. Mix Upper case with lower case , add symbols like % $ # and mix a few numbers in there

A password like

5t!HHg&00okL9-mNN^5Ff

will take something like a trillion brute force passes to break. ANy hacker with the ability to crack that would be working for Microsoft.
