If you have NOT heard about PPG . This was supposed to bring Kuba incalculable revenues because of the amazing qualities of this over the counter drug.
Regular PPG use claimed to:
Reverse Arterial Sclerosis
Slow down Alzheimer’s advance
Lower overall cholesterol
Increase good Cholesterol
Decrease bad cholesterol AND
Produce a tremendous libido increase in both men and women.
Other miraculous effects, where; The renew growth of hair, anti depression and tremendous amount of energy. ALL of this without side effects. HOLLY MOTHER OF GOD , talk about a magic Bullet !
PPG was the street name of the drug and Europeans were buying this stuff by the trunk full at $1.00 USD a pill at the local Tourist Pharmacy. The chemical name of PPG is Policosanol. This wonder drug was derived from the waxy substance found on sugar cane.
The main problem was that when other scientists tried to produce the product in other countries the results were dismal. The reason Kuban officials gave was that ONLY with CUBAN sugar cane were the benefits produced.
Something about a particular type of sugar cane that only grows in Kuba. This much is true there is a VERY thick (the circumference of a can of soda) type of sugar cane in Kuba that produces the waxy substance to an extreme extend. This type of sugar cane is only found in Kuba and the PPG produced by THAT sugar cane could only be bought FROM Kuba. Convenient uh?
The first investigation of Kuba’s pharmaceutical industry came about during a string of deaths in Argentina due to tainted Cuban aspirin.
Kuban Diazepam (Valium) was found to produce extreme attacks of depression in other South American countries (Brazil) and even deaths. The investigations reported Kuba pharmaceutical industry did no bother with international safety nor Quality Control procedures. So a tab of diazepam marked 10mg could contain as little as NO diazepam or as much as 50mg!
So the rest of the world stopped buying these drugs (even China cancelled an exchange of Kuban drugs for heavy machinery after Chinese doctors found the aspirins and the other drugs TOTALLY outside any international standard)

Here's a thought: If the wannabe-mengele of Biran were to be tried, the sentence should be: Slow death through the torture of undergoing "treatment" through his own health "care" system. First treatment: 10-gallon enemas, every hour, on the hour, to include PPG -that oughta be SWEET!

The info about the deaths in Argentina and Brazil I have gotten through local newspapers of each country - There have been MANY reports about this coming out of Venezuela , which of course have been quenched. The deal with China falling through came straight from China .. and I FORGOT a similar deal with Canada , because the Canadians just had an attack of hysterical luaghter when KaSStro proposed they get paid with Kuban DRUGS!
