Propaganda Coup Spoiled

Japan wins over Cuba 10 to 6.
The nature and geographical position of my sources make me stick to what I know best, the propaganda coup prepared to be delivered in Havana. That's why the game was shown in a big screen in Central Park, across from a few hotels full of tourists, to teach them a lesson.
The public was the same Hot Corner crowd, a gaggle of unemployed men who meet there daily to discuss baseball. Apparently. Because in reality, parked near the Tribunals, at sight from the Capitolio there were some school buses and other transports that carried "civilians" to the area. The park itself, according to a tourist from Germany, was under a heavy police control. This very same tourist told me that the sight of a canine unit was "scary", and that "no photos" was screamed every two steps. Her Cuban husband told me that it was rumored that kasstro was watching the game from a location close enough to Central Park to "appear" if the slave team was winning, and that what was said in Havana is that if kasstro had the victory in its pocket he would march with the "people" down from Central Park to Prado and then on Malecon towards the USIS for a "protest". Fortunately, it didn't happen. Once Japan won, the crowd was disbanded and just a few curious, drunkards who sleep in the park, an ocasional jinetero and people from the windows of the neighboring building saw a sliver of the prize ceremony. My source in the crowd told me that they had a thirty seconds delay in the advertisement-free transmission, and that some signs were seen out of focus. Evidently it was a feed tailored to kasstro needs. But kasstro, like his slave team, is using all his pitchers, desperately and with no control and results. As per the losing team, a session of "debriefing" is expectime them in Havana, some heads will roll. After all, kasstro doesn't manage the team himself via satelite telephone for they to lose, and his intention was not to accept a defeat and apologies for it. This is politics and propaganda. Nothing more, nothing less.

Oh the propaganda will take place in public; in private The Beast is spitting blood. The KUBANS who lost may as well learn how to make sandals outta old rubber tires cause they are not good to anyone anymore. The last pitcher that was pulled out the manager might as well have slapped him in the middle of the stadium.
Tomorrow, the news will be that against all odds they made it to the finals and a second place blah blah blah...
OUR answer to them is
1) Japan has been playing baseball for 20 years
2 ) The Japanese team in average were lilliputians compared to the Cuban players
3) Japan IS a capitalist country
So the incentive to win is that much greater.. MORAL of the story.. KaSStro's NEW MAN , no matter how close he comes will never win , because they do not act out of respect they act out of fear and lack the most important incentive of it ALL .. MONEY!

Go back KUBANS (yes KUBANS since none of you defected) go back and hide in shame, you have been training since you are 7 years old, you were chosen as the ELITE commando force that would defeat the imperialist dogs. You FAILED, and ROYALLY!

Congratulations to Japan, a country left in total ruin only 60 years ago, is not only a world economic power but even in a sport that was totally unknown to them until the last 20 years they have dominated the world.
The things capitalism, democracy and freedom can accomplish are undefeatable.

The most beautiful thing was when they showed the crowd reacting to Paret's first inning homerun. The guy standing squarely in front of the camera (with his back to it) was wearing a T-shirt with the US flag on the back. Sweet.

And Japan has been playing baseball for at least 50 years. They haven't had much success against Cuba but of course their pros never played in those tourneys.

Okey here we go on the semantics route and the number correction syndrome.

Japan did NOT play professional ball at any level until 20+ years ago. In FACT the baseball they learned AFTER the Korean war (Baseball didn’t make it to Japan after WWII) was shun upon by elders , the kids played out with the gifts the GIs brought to the bases and as always the American soldiers are WORSHIPPED by any kid who lives within 5o miles from the base. Since most of the US bases during the Korea war were in Japan, the kids would be invited to play and were given baseball gear to the chagrin of their parents. Remember this was not a culture which accepts foreign influences easily there were NO ORGANIZED, MASS consciousness of baseball until the first Olympics were baseball was allowed. Japan does NOT have a governmental system of picking children and molding them with 14 hour day training into phenom and at age and then at 14 kicks them outta on their asses if they do NOT become phenoms.
The way the second to last Cuban pitcher was pulled was a classic study in communist indoctrination. The kid was shitting bricks and the manager treated him as the slave he is.

That IS the point. You have a society that enjoys FULL democratic freedom, a society which could not be more different than even that of the USA, but they do have DEMOCRACY and capitalism and an absolute passion for perfection.. They beat the USA in automobile making with sheer passion by reinventing how cars should be made.

If you know baseball at all and you saw the Japanese and Koreans play, they play an heretofore unknown game of tactic vs. power. Almost a mathematical game of baseball more akin to a game of chess.

They had to, their size would not do it for them, BUT the sacrifice is well remunerated and they DO feel a tremendous sense of pride in their country.

KUBA was not ready for that type e of baseball. The KUBAN manager arrogantly admitted they had studied ALL major league players and knew them well. Of course they thought they be in the finals with the USA. And I am sure the USA would have been in the finals if more players had been interested and the owner were more willing to let them go .

Based on ALL of that Kuba's defeat is that much more of a shame because EVEN if the Japanese were playing for 50 years (which they are NOT) Cuba's first major leaguer played the majors in 1918 ! so based on THAT Cuba has been playing ball for 88 years and has a systematic method of control over the lives of those they think will serve as symbols of the revolution.

So 50 or 20 KUBA got beat and KaSStro could not have his little march .
Interesting that the TV in El Parque Central was shut down as well as the extra lighting the second the last out was made , so ESPN had NOTHING to show back as far as the reaction of the Cubans watching the game.

To The Beast this was a worse day that the one when he was told the 10 million zafra was a BUST!

Bwahahahahh I LOVE IT!
