Japan vs Kuba; the postgame -- IN KUBA
It is a great exercise to look into the Kuban apparatik and see it all go to shit, when something doesnt g their way.
This defeat against Japan has their heads spinning . They are woozy , groggy AND more than anything else UNPREPARED !
First Granma devotes a total of 266 words to the whole thing ! – And THAT is repeating the new coined phrase SUBCAMPEONES. (read below and notice the highlighted hyperbolate – it is priceless Cuban bullshit dating back to the 20- everyone in Kuba MUST express themselves the same way KaSSTro would do it!)
I wonder who the genius who put a spin to this so that the word CHAMPION would appear twixt the context of a defeat. You gotta give them credit. They have no morals and they are not afraid to show it.
The second part of this is the reports from La Habana as to what happened when EL SUMO HIJO DE PUTA realized he wasn’t going to win.
This is the report as seen by some in the crowd who were able to report back to us via email.
The second the last out was called, all the electricity in the area went off and the place was piytch black, the ESPN cameramen trying to capture the moment were kicked out of the area. Cameras flung to the floor, commentators being pushed around .. a real Workers Paradise. That is why we did not see any reactions from Kuba after the last out.
As has been reported by CB, KaSStro was INDEED within walking distance from the TV set, probably at the National Theatre (I wonder if any USA citizens wonder why people could not see this in the confort of their own homes !)
So as Cubans are wont to do, they gathered around the darkened area discussing the game, who did what, how, why, the Japanese won , why the Cubans lost . Typical Cuban baseball bullshit after a game.
At this point the crowds were being forced to go home, but wait …. There had been buses waiting to take them SOMEPLACE.. how about the buses? .. forget about the buses WALK HOME!
Now, the streets themselves are packed with people trying to figure out where to go next and just ut of nowhere KaSStro’s fleet of limos tries to cut through El Parque Central actually hitting several people and are rumors of a couple of deaths.
The KaSStro's escorts kept screaming obscenities to the public who kept asking “where is Fidel” ? Of curse Fidel is having a fucking heart attack in the limo and is probably the one giving the orders to mow down the crowd and get the fuck outta there
So that is how this TRIUMPHANT event ended in Kuba. KaSStro out of control cause he NEVER planned that the KUBANS would loose and he had it all set up for his historic making repudiation speech in front of the USIS . Nothing pisses off a tyrant more that to have to cancel a speech, specially a despot with the gift of chronic verborreah.
