So here we go again! The White house has backed away from claims that Kuba has a biological weapons efforts going on.
The white house is receiving (oh, I love this) "CONFLICTING" reports from intelligence gatherings.
The reports says instead that:
"Cuba has the ability ' to pursue biological weapons research and development because of its advanced pharmaceutical industry. But it leaves open the critical question of whether it has done so."

Can these conflicting intelligence(?) reports assure any of us, there is NOT one flask of biotech weapons in Kuba? If they can NOT, why dismiss it? Wouldn't err on the side of caution be the thing to do ?

This was my exact reaction when I read that news item. I'm seeing a trend here. The Cuban Five are out. Posada's case was decided before the judge even set foot in the courtroom. Does the phrase "Bay of Pigs" and terrorism in the same sentence offer a clue? The Pentagon modifies Guantanamo tribunals to make the "trials more like a judge and jury model"
I wonder just exactly what it is that Rummy learned on his recent fact finding trip to South America, I'd also like to know who's running the country. Is is the New York Times and the coalition of the left? Whoever it is, someone is smiling in Havana.
