Reconstruct the lost and damaged jewels of New Orleans and all the historic places affected by the hurricane.
UPDATE:
To this moment, we haven't heard a word of support coming from the liberal left. Not a single word for the do-gooders of Live Aid, Hollywood, etc... Much less a word from kagasstro, who was luring Louisiana goverment officials a month ago into selling him whatever they had at an advantageous price -for him!

I just received a call from the Republican Party Committee asking for a donation to assist victims of the Louisiana disaster
I am as pragmatic as it comes so I will give the GOP points for humanitarian effort, but I also think this is political (Surprised to those who think I am a "YES SIR BUSH" kindda cult guy ... well FUCK YOU!) move, since this devastation will give an UNENDING source of pleasure and propaganda to detractor of the president. The economy will tank, the efforts and cost of this tragedy is so massive that Bush's presidency will suffer a tremendous blow.
Today a simple grocery store clerk asked me in total shock and eyes full of tears."Why do we keep sending money to foreign nations, why do we send aid to ALL of those countries, who helps US?” This from a 17 /18 year old.
Now what do YOU say to that simple yet profound logic?
Yes, we need to help, and I will donate not through the GOP or anyone else who calls ME, but whoever I choose will make the most with my dollars.
We owe to the people of Louisiana and we owe it to the USA.
And… WHATEVER your donate DO NOT send it to the RED CROSS!
